KKR BRINGS IN EXPERIENCED MANAGER TO HEAD UP TENOVIS

Frankfurt am Main, 02 August 2002 -- David C. Winn - one of the most distinguished managers in the industry - is destined to become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tenovis and, as such, successor to Peter B. Záboji, who currently occupies this position. Winn will bring more than 20 years of experience at top management level in international companies with him. The graduate of Yale and holder of a Harvard MBA spent several years working for Boston Consulting in Europe. He started as Vice President International Marketing at American Express before being appointed Chairman and CEO of American Express Bank in France. At IBM Europe he was General Manager for PC business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), before subsequently taking on overall responsibility for Marketing IBM EMEA, and ultimately managing the systems integration business for banks and financial services companies IBM EMEA. In the year 2000 he became CEO of the Internet services provider Sitesmith Europa - a company that was later taken over by Metromedia Fiber Networks. Winn, who speaks four languages, has excellent knowledge of both the old and new economies: As Peter B. Záboji explains: "With the experience he has gained from working for international blue chip companies, David Winn is the ideal choice to head up Tenovis, a growth company operating throughout Europe".
The new appointment still has to be approved by the relevant boards. As scheduled, Peter B. Záboji will move to the Supervisory Board within the course of the next two months.
